Chapter 12
"They say, teenagers can sleep all day." Is this true? Do you agree? Does Ellie still see herself as a typical teen?
Nah idk. I think Ellie does not see herself as her normal self anymore. After all the things she has been through, she's gone more series and more emotional.
Ellie's dream at the beginning of the chapter is rather nonsensical, as dreams are wont to be. Is there any meaning to it? Try and explain what Ellie's subconscious could be thinking about: why is her dad cooking for the whole town? Why did father Cronin ignore Ellie's greeting? Why was Corrie 8 years old again? Why were they sailing off on a boat? Why was Lee undressing?
Ellie wants everyone to be safe, and by Chris falling asleep, she got angry and all her thoughts came through. Like when she saw Chris asleep, the first thing that pops into her head is her friends being in danger.
Why is it so terrible that Chris falls asleep while on sentry duty? How does Ellie react? Why do you think she reacts this way? How does she feel about her reaction later?
It is terrible because he is the only one that is meant to be on watch but instead he fell asleep. Ellie's reaction was really shocking, it was even shocking to the others and myself. I think she reacted that way was because of how close it was to them being in danger. After that, she felt really guilty about how she reacted and realizes that she took it too far.
Back in Hell, Ellie's dream is far more ominous. Explain why Ellie is dreaming of her fears.
She was so scared and shocked and starts t yell, and scream.
